High quality foam, called memory foam, is really good, doesn't need a pillow-top, and after 12 years is exactly the same as it was new. There are at least two densities, so you will want to try it out to see what feels right for you. It is expensive, but I really like mine, and I've never thought it was hot. Good luck

Personally I don't think it's worth the money for a "brand name" memory foam mattress. There are many different manufactures that make the exact same thing for half the price. You want something that is above 5 lb density. Memory foam mattress tend to have an impression of your body over time. But it's all normal. Pillowtop is for comfort, so it's up to your personal preference.

we had one for a short while. it was very comfortable but it was really hot. it felt like the mattress retained our body heat. it made us sweat all night. we got rid of it and went back to the pillow top mattress.

Not the one they advertise that is made from the design from NASA. My boss has one and it has a lifetime guarantee. and it comes with a great looking mattress cover. It was exspensive.
