Onanists are people who "commit the sin of Onan" a Biblical character attributed with the traits of a person who...um...chokes the chicken excessively. Thus Onanism and the act of being an Onanist is basically being a guy who tends to spend a lot of time dating Madame Palm and her five daughters. As for me, I don't believe that it's a sin...but hey...we live in a society that says virtually EVERYTHING is a sin, and the word Onanist "implies" one who wastes seed and...dribbles.
