Last year, my front teeth was hit pretty hard. It was bleeding severely. It did not fall out, but It moved back a little. Now, one of my front teeth has turned slightly lightish gray. I am going to see a dentist, but does anybody know why this happened?

Yeah, the "nerve" in your tooth is dead or dying. You need a root canal treatment before it gets even darker or starts to hurt.

The opening at the end of the root where the blood vessels and nerve enter your tooth is about the same size as the point of a pin. When your tooth got bumped, it moved and the vessels and nerves tha enter through this tiny hole got crushed. It just took the tissue a year before it really died. Sometimes this can take more than five years to happen.

Your tooth turning gray is probably from a dead nerve that resulted from your accident. I've heard a lot of people (especially kids) with the same experience. Nevertheless, go see your dentist.

It sounds like the root of your tooth is dying. When you hit your tooth, it damaged the nerves going to your tooth but not enough to notice it immediately. It may also have damaged the blood vessels supplying your tooth with blood and nutrients. Your tooth is slowly dying.

if your tooth is turning gray, that means that there is not enough blood, if any getting to it; therefore, your tooth is probably dead.
