My parents are always saying "******" wen they talk about black ppl. and making raciest jokes and stuff like that. They also HATE wite ppl datin black. and u kno stuff like that. r they raciest?

I don't know if they are racist..that is a pretty strong term...but they are probaby prejudiced. My grandparents (who really aren't that old for grandparents) are always making prejudice remarks about certain groups and they would probably keel over if I came home with a black guy...but they are probably stuck in their ways unfortunately. In my case, I have a 4 year old, I went so far as to ask them to keep their comments to themselves when my son is around because I don't want him being brought up in that close-minded atmosphere.

We all have comments on the different races. Have you ever caught yourself saying Black, white, or Asians all look alike? Racists are usually intolerant with the depicted race that they choose to hate. I'm not racist, but you do have to somehow distinguish people. Their only joking, but tell them to knock off the bullsh*t when things do get out of hand. I'm a white person and if I was caught making fun of how a black person dresses, I'd be called a racist. IF a black person makes fun of white people however, no one will say a damn thing. It's unfair and hypocrisy.

Sounds to me like they maybe. But when you are old enough you should let them know that: WE walk the same ground, WE breath the same air and WE cry the same tears as all others. This is whats wrong with the world today even though I was always told that God made a race for each of us and that is the way it should be. My beliefs are different now that I am older and not all may want to agree but I have raised my children with the saying(of WE) and their own choice of whom they may fall in love with. They did not chose who I am with and I am not going to chose their life. As so long the other significante other is good to them.

yea sweetie im sorry, but people dont really make raciest jokes, and saying the n word. that is something serious, and its not really meant to be used as a joke cus when you say the word ****** that is the way that the masters use to talk to the BLACK slaves. even to this day that word is used against us. you need to talk to your parents because it needs to come to an end and i am in a interrational relationship and its people like your parents who makes it really hard for people like me. as long as your not racist or feel like that you're good....so if you could tell them that its a serious matter and the racial jokes need to just come to an end, there is no black or white. its just really the people that we are within and thats all that matters. no one is better, richer, poorer we are one and we need to stay united life is tooooo short. for hate.......best luck

they probably caught it from their parents just try pointing out some folks that are outastanding humans in every racve not as a preachy thing just when its able to bring out and then ask them why they feel that einstien isnt a good person or ghandhi or mandela or martin luther king or any one of several humansd of worth and religions and races that they dont care for point out peanut butter is an invention of g w carver a black man and the trafffic light and the transfusion of blood and so on

I always say ****** because i feel it is an over hyped word. when i say ****** its only in a joking manner and not supposed to be offensive to black but instead to make fun of racists and being politically correct. I aint racist but i hate stupidy.

Actually your parents are quite bright. Theres nothing like a good black joke or Jew joke to put a smile on ones face in the morning. I would lighten up find yourself a good white boy because lets face it, if you date a black guy you had better have god stock in air fresheners and deoderant. As for Jews you had better not let thwem get their hands on your purse stings and if you do happen to marry one your gonna have to sign a prenup as they dont part with their money.

Yes unfortunately your parents are racist.Because my parents are the same way even though I have no problem with them myself my family is totally different. You need to sit them down and ask them Why, Why do they have to be racist.It is a problem when you wanna bring a colored friend home they aren't very nice to them and you need to work this out with them.
