Go to a hair dresser is your best option. If you can’t afford that then try a hair dressing school or a junior person.
IF you can’t do that, I would wait a week or two and then bleach your hair (not with blondesima but go to a cosmetic/hair place and buy the bleach and developer, 30 for the developer). Bleach your hair - with the pro stuff from a cosmetic place should take like 20 -30 minutes for the black to be gone. Then rinse and condition. Then dye your hair with the shade you want. If you go for a dark red colour - the results will be brighter if you bleach it first.
You could also try to redye it with a box of red hair dye or brown. This will lessen the harshiness of the black but will take a few months of hair dying to get the black completely out.
Results vary by person.

The easiest and most reliable option "that won't make your hair turn orange" is to go to a professional hair stylist and ask them for advice and help. Even if you only want to lighten it a few shades, this kind of fixing work is best left for a pro to handle.
Although this isn't the cheapest option, it will be in the long run as most "quick and easy" fixes will damage and ruin your hair even more, causing you to pay A LOT of money to fix, as well as time and patience.

You could try L'Oreal Fiera, in the Crystal Brown shade, from the drug store or supermarket. I am sure it will work fine on your dark (black) hair to lighten it. Look on the box and it will tell you to find your current hair color, and then it will show you what it will look like after using the hair color. L'Oreal puts in an excellent tube of conditioner that really softens and conditions your hair, enough to use for 3 weeks or more. Fiera adds some beautiful highlights and shine to your hair. It costs around $10.00. Also, the Crystal Brown shade won't give you brassy, red color on lightening darker hair.

Red hair dye comes out of hair very easily, so dying over it with a dark brown hair dye should not effect the outcome of your hair colour. If you dye it dark brown and it turns out black don't worry about it, because the excess will just wash out and fade and you will be left with the dark brown colour. If you aren't quite sure about how it will work out try a semi-permenant first, and if you're happy with the colour go permenant.

Color will not remove color. The only way to get the black dye out is to have it stripped out,you will be left with an orangey color,so you will need to redye it the color you want. Your best bet is to go to a salon and have it done, but if you really want to do it yourself, there is this color remover called Color fix that you can order on line. If you get it ,follow the directions carefully and have someone help you to make sure it is done evenly. You will need to color your hair after. I still think you should have it professionally done though. Good luck P.s. don't use bleach, use the color remover.

I would seriously recommend not trying to fix it yourself. There's a art to hair dying, and hairdressers can take specialty courses to learn to do just that. It can be very complicated. Save up and shell out the money to have it done professionally. If you make it worse, then you may have to anyways. Hope you get the colour you like. God Bless

Have you tried to use vinegar !! It may just be acidic enough to break down the dye. You could call your local Beauty Supplier and ask them then read the box of the product they suggest. Then see if you can find it as cheap as you can. Good luck!!

I would wait at least two weeks....really, though 6 would be best for your hair. Also, have you checked with a local cosmetology school? They do many services for a greatly reduced cost.
