Hello ...I'll try to help. It is in a housing that is attached to the intake manifold and the top radiator hose is also attached to the thermosat housing.
REMOVAL:
Perform this operation on a cool engine to prevent injury from hot coolant.
Drain cooling system.
Disconnect negative battery terminal and set aside.
Remove air cleaner air duct assembly from throttle body and air cleaner.
Remove upper radiator hose from thermostat housing.
Remove three attaching bolts from housing.
Remove housing and thermostat.
INSTALLATION:
Clean gasket mating surfaces with scraper or appropriate tool. Use care not to gouge aluminum components.

NOTE: Make sure the sealing ring is properly installed on the thermostat.
Install thermostat into housing making sure the air release valve is in the up position.
Install thermostat housing assembly and new gasket. Tighten attaching bolts to 9-13 Nm (7-10 ft lb) .
Install upper radiator hose. Tighten clamp securely.
Fill and bleed cooling system with specified coolant and proper mixture.
Install air cleaner air duct assembly. Tighten clamps securely.
Connect negative ground cable. WARNING: Do not stand in line with or near radiator fan when engine is running.
Run engine and check for coolant leaks.
