GUYS - what do you think of young women with old-fashioned values?

Okay, I'm the first to admit that I have some rather old-fashioned values. I plan on waiting until I'm 21 to drink alcohol and saving my virginity for marriage. Neither of these are for religious reasons; I want my 21st birthday and my wedding night to be special occasions, rather than just a night like any other.

Are there any men out there who respect this, especially college-age ones? I'll be attending a large public university this fall where drinking and random hookups are commonplace, and I'm just hoping I can find people who share my somewhat out-of-date values.

You are fine, a jewel in this world of muck. You obviously have high standards, I respect that. When I was dating my wife, she told me she wanted to wait until after we got married before we would engage in sex. I didn't like it, but I respected her wish and we had a wonderful life together before she was killed in a car accident 20 years later.

You may find a few guys who feel that they can build a future with you and they will respect the values, just don't be angry if they try to get you to break them. Just try to meet a guy who is a top student and who does his work and goes home and doesn't screw around.

I think your a rare person first of all, keep it up and yes you will be pressured in college to "TRY" new thngs. Just stick to your values and ethics and you'll be fine. The guy who you do plan to choose should be very greatful and honored to have such a rare gem like you. Just make sure he doesnt forget it !
