If you had all 4 pulled at the same time, it will probably take about a week for all the swelling to go down. As far as the pain, that will also take time and hopefully your dentist has given you something for the pain. If you have extreme pain, get back to the dentist as it could be a dry socket (had it, and it was horrible). Motrin (ibuprofen) will help reduce the swelling as it has an anti-inflammatory effect. Also, don't over do it (did it and paid for it). Hope you feel better soon!

don't use ice it makes your cheeks swell up even more. To reduce the swelling in your cheeks use a heating pad. I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled and all I did for 3 days is sleep, take medication and put a heating pad on my face. It did hurt when i got them out but everyone is different when it comes to pain.

Geez, I guess you're kinda lucky that you could have them pulled. I had to have all of mine cut out. I bled for about 3 days, but only slightly, just enough to have a real bad taste in my mouth. The pain wasn't bad due to some good drugs. lol And I really didn't have that much swelling, guess that's the difference in getting them cut out instead of pulled. Really an ice pack is the best thing for your swelling. Hang in there, it'll get better.

When i got mine out it was a totaly nightmare. My cheeks were so big i looked like a chipmonk. but it lasted about a week. i had my braces put on the day before i got my widom teeth out and I was in a lot of pain for about 2 weeks but it was probably mostly due to the braces. My friend just had hers out and it wasnt nearly as bad as mine but the holes where they were taken from got bits of food in them and they got infected and caused her a lot of pain so make sure you rinse you mouth good however the dentist tells you
