Well if anything don't do it over the phone. Ask her in person. But first make sure you know her well enough and you hang out with her sometimes because if you hardly ever talk to her and you ask her out you might scare her. So hang out with her a little bit before you do. Don't be afraid. The worst thing that could happen is she could say no. I mean and if she says no that just means thats not the one god picked for you. I mean your only 17 there are other people and you have lots of time!! Just do it. You only live once... but like i said make sure you know her well enough!

i would tell him that sometimes you just have to put yourself out there. Rejection is scary but we all go through it. For all you know this girl likes you back but she'll never know if you don't do it. Honestly, getting hurt happens to everyone all the time, but putting yourself out there makes it all worthwhile when you find that one special person. If you never ask anyone out, then you'll be missing out on the pain & rewards that can come with a relationship and eventually fall in love. I would tell him that if a girl rejects him, then he just has to keep his chin up and know that there's someone out there better from him.
