If not, then you need to take the collar off of the dog and put it around your neck and have someone shock you while trying to adjust it.

I assignment you do take your own advice, emma. I did and i know there isn't any trouble with e-collars. I don't consider you've gotten. I am no longer a colossal fan of the no-bark collars however there is a time and situation for them. I feel what you describe as an e-collar that is a no-bark collar and likewise an electrical fence collar would exist but i have never heard of it, no longer that I've regarded into both of these to relatively understand. Why would the dogs want a threat to exhibit they're able to remain off the lawn without the collars? They either stay off the garden or they don't, the collar is not a part of that equation. BTW, i'll shoot to kill someone I trap stealing my dogs. You best hope i am no longer your neighbor if that is your plan. And no judge or jury round me will convict me for it.

a "HE" or a "SHE" ?

There should be a control somewhere. do you have a munual it should tell you in the manual.
My shock collar had a control buttln on the clooar and also on on the remote, some collars only have one on the remote, then you need to remove collar from pup adjust by number of beeps and then replace. lower number of beeps the lower electric shock.

How old is this puppy? And yes you should be able to adjust the voltage. If not then you have the wrong one for that puppy....or your an idiot getting his kicks on torturing a little puppy...Try putting that around your own neck and tell us how it feels.....when you wake up MORON!!!!

Ok, I think some one is gonna forward your question to PETA. The first thing you should do is take the collar off. Then you should read the instruction manual or call the maker of the collar.

If you are telling the truth, then you obviously did not read the instructions. You always start at the lowest setting. My dogs are huge 3 of them, each about 150 lbs., and I only went as high as #3 on the setting. You are either really mean or stupid, or both.

Before you use electric collars on a fragile animal, try it on yourself first, to know why are they considered inhuman.
DO youthink you deserve your pet if you cant treat your pet like your child, like a companion.
A pet is not a slave, so dont try to control it like one, under the garb of 'training' it, there are lot better and humane ways of domesticating a pet.

You aren't supposed to use them on puppies! and yes, there should be different voltages. look at the instructions. You sound like a really bright person *rolls eyes*
