As far as I'm aware, the eyeball stays the same size from the moment your born. Its the rest of you that grows. I have no evidence to back that, but I do recall hearing something like that at a pre birth class.

eye balls grow fastest in infanct, this is because their vision starts to develop. the power of the eye while at 3 years old is about +300 degrees and it slowly reduces to plano when reaching 7 years old. this process is called emmtropization.
however, after emmtropization, if the eye still grows, it will cause myopia, in other words, short sightedness. the eye ball will stop growing at teenage years when puberty stops, which is then the power of the eye starts to stablilze. the eyeball will not grow much during adulthood.

Wait one minute - I'm looking it up in my anatmy book. Sorry - it doesn't give specific information about the growth pattern of the eye. It does, however, state that it grows more during fetal development than it does throughout your life. If you look at your aby pictures, your eyes will probably look huge - most babies seem to have "big blue eyes" or "big brown eyes". We grow into our eyes (so to speak) as we get older.

A little bit. Infant eyes are about 16-18 mm in diameter, while adult eyes are about 24 mm. It is a myth that eyes do not grow.

I'm not sure, but I thought that the eye is fully developed by age nine. Obviously, it will grow larger as you do, but as far as building everything it needs, it should be done by 9

No, babies are born with eyeballs the size they are going to be. That's why babies have such big eyes.
