how can i fix it i took the usb cable out and it started to restart

my ipod is brand new just about 5 days and the usb cable came out when i was updating it then it turn off and naver pass the apple screen is ther a way to fix ?

Restore your iPod.....that should help, but you will have to put all your songs back on again because it will reduce it to factory settings.

To do this, go to Start, all programs, click on iPod, and click on iPod updater.

You might want to update the updater, too.

my ipod does the same thing, it either shuts itself off completely or just keep showing the apple screen. Turns out it was just lack of battery. I let it recharge for half a day and it went back to normal.

how long have you had it?? Those hard drives fail as well as the batteries. Better go to apple or where ever you bought it from, and hopefully you bought an extended warrenty...

Well, you can check apple.com they always have instructions to help with most situations. If that doesn't work and it's totally broken. Hope your warranty isn't over and send it back.
