the brand? i'm not sure....but some things come to mind....first...don't be embarrassed to lay on it for awhile..pay attention to how your back feels....they expect you to! will you be the only one using it? if not you would be happier with a queen or king.......it's better to get one where you can change the headboard if you like because this is a long term investment and your tastes may change....the ones that are taller are great because you don't have to bend a lot it's a great height....our family loves the pillow top mattress....know that there is a breaking in time so it will flatten out a little..depends on how firm it is..get a good warranty....and invest in a mattress pad....good luck!

Definitly go to an outlet or discount store in your area. We have one here called Bills Half Priced Bedding and it's all new stuff. Make sure you get a pillow top, they're great. Best thing to do is shop around and get the best price for the best mattress. By the way, you may be able to haggle the price too so it's worth a try.

take a drive to Arthur. those amish can make some durable beds. my mom got 3 about 40 years ago and they are still in awesome shape after 7 children!

i think you can find a phone number on the 'net. just google arthur, illinois. not everyone there has a phone or electricity so a drive might be the right way to go. i think it's only about 10 miles from the outlet stores in tuscola.

What exactly is a "full size bed" is that as opposed to a half size one?

My only recommendation is that you don't buy a bed off the internet, you're better off trying a few out and buying one you feel comfortable with and suits your body type - the heavier you are, the firmer it should be (that sounds rude, but it's true, heavier people need better support).

Gee I don't know. You need to go to a factory outlet and get a good one . Make sure you have a good frame with good support!!
