You should check with your vet, but I'll tell you that I had a similar experience with one of my boxers. I've had two, and the first one never had trouble, but my second one, until he was about a year old, was always limping - hurting his legs. After having him at the vet several times, the vet told me that some dogs just play/run so hard that they pull muscles or give themselve small strains and sprains just like kids do. I know that both of my boxers ran so hard in my backyard sometimes that I couldn't imagine them NOT hurting themselves. Anyway, my dog never did any series damage to himself, and about the time he stopped growing taller - 1 year - he stopped having this trouble. He's 4 now and has had no trouble, even though he still races around the yard like it's on fire. If you think about how they're built - heavy bodies and relatively thin legs - and the fact that they love to run so much, it's not surprising that they'd strain muscles, especially when they're puppies.

i have never heard of boxers having fragile legs,or anything else fragile for that matter.thay are what some ppl think of as hyper which can cause strained muscles ect.and well bred boxers who have been checked before breeding shouldnt have bad hips unless they have had an accident when they were younger.my guess would be that yours has strained a muscle or two.have you taken it to the vet to be checked?if not,you should just to be on the safe side.if you haven`t trained your dog yet,by all means do so starting now.it helps to control the "hyper" and makes it easier to handle them.good luck and feel free to ask me more question if you want.

Large breed puppies like boxers can develop a condition while the're young in which the muscles and ligaments grow at a different rate than their bones. This causes joint dislocation and limping. It's a simple condition to avoid, they need to be fed Large Breed puppy food instead of regular puppy food. If you aren't feeding that to your dog, I would switch to it immediately and see if the limping improves. If you're already feeding a large breed puppy food, I would take your puppy in to see your vet and have it examined. As others have mentioned, boxers can also have hip dysplasia and other bone/joint problems that need medical attention.
Good Luck!
