Not me. Certain areas may be bad, but most of the time I find DC pretty nice.

It's got one of the highest per capita murder rates of any city in the country. For the most part the tourist sites are safe but a lot of DC is terrible.

it's not true, lived there for 7 years...still visit frequently.
AREAS of the city can be bad, but you kind of need to go seek them out. The bad areas aren't the ones most people pass through or would go to unless you were looking for trouble.

DC is like any other major city in the US...
Parts are good, parts are bad- but overall if you are minding your business and are aware of your surrounds, you should be fine.

I'm a Washingtonian, and I live in the "bad place" like you
calling it. But every city has a "good" or "bad" place. There is no such thing as a "PERFECT" city or world. Remember that.
