I have a 2005 Ford Mustang V6 and I want to get more of the horsepower out of the motor, but I don't have a lot of money. I am lucky to afford the Mustang in the first place, but I want to get more ponies going. What have you done with yours?

Chip it, it's easy and not a lot of money and add a k&n air filter you can gain a few more ponies and you can remove both quickly if you have to have repairs done and not mess up your warrenty

There are several ways, some are expensive, some are relatively ecconomical.

1) Cold air intake
2) High flow headders
3) High flow exhaust
4) Light weight underdrive pulley
5) Light weight wheels
6) Synthetic motor oil
7) Take all things not needed out of the car that are heavy
8) Use the recommend octane fuel
9) Get a supercharger
10) Upgrade to iridium spark plugs

Have fun!

There are limits on what you can with this car without spending lots money it.

One thing, you can do is install a new chip and reprogram the car. Most pro shops can do this for you, You may have to shop around to find someone who does this type of work.
