Now you look here mexican woman, I know dadgum well what I fought for when I was in Iraq before I went over it was to get rid of that slaughtering sob Huessin and his comrades, when I got there one more thing was added to my list of why I was fighting. For thos oppressed people in the south who were being taken from there houses and killed, beating, toutured because of their religion. People say there was no wmds well I am telling you there are and they are still finding more of them, the reason why you don't hear about it is because your liberal media kept on saying there was nothing over there and they were all against the war to begin with, and now that they are finding wmds they don't want to report about it. It would make them out to be a fool, look at them now getting reports and speaking to the terrorists, how ridiculous is that. Also, if you ever talk to any true solider, Marines, squid, airmen, you will find out they know what they have fought for.and are still fighting for. Yeah you may like the Presidents administration but we the fighting men and women know exactly what we have fought for. And if you don't like that you can pack your bags and go back to the country you came from, and you say American soldiers are puppets ha. I'd rather be a follower than a people smullging, dope dealing, illegal border crossing, useless soldier in the so call mexican army. Semper Fi to all us United State Military Marines, Soliers, Squids, and Airman, and the friends and family that support us.

Who do you think is bashing the U.S. troops? Did you forget that 'yahoo answers' is world wide?
I could live in Iraq right now and say that I am an American and start trashing the U.S. troops. Then I just sit back and read all the trashing by both sides of America cause I got under your skins.
I'm a X Marine (1969), and I don't care what people say. If they do get under my skin, I just bash back. Talk is cheap.

First of all, thank you for helping defend our country by serving in the military. My grandfather served in the Navy during WWII, however, I chose never to serve in the military, because personally, I'm not willing to risk my life for a country...only my family. But, that doesn't mean I don't appreciate your willingness to do so.

Second, I don't appreciate being told to shut up, just because I've never been in the military. I have a right to voice my opinion as much as you do, because I'm an American citizen.

Third, not all people who haven't been in the military bash the troops. In fact, it's very rare that I've heard anyone specifically bash the troops solely. It's the bashing of the administration who chose to send our troops into a region where we don't belong which is the true nature of our angst. Our administration chose to preemptively attack (a first) another country without a just cause of either retaliation or a true imminent threat.

Finally, I suggest that you start reassessing where you are placing your blame. Your angst is misguided and adds fuel to the fire of the Sean Hannitys and Rush Limbaughs of the world, who show more hatred towards the troops with their statements (because they are lies) than those of us in opposition to the administration. Again, thank you for your service to us, as well to all of the people who have served in the military. Don't mistake our opposition to the war as hatred towards the troops. Because that's not correct.

Hell ya! Im 19 and I constantly hear my peers saying things like "Iraq was for oil" or insulting troops, especially marines. sometimes I just want to say "how the hell could you possible know that? have you been to iraq? have you been a marine? No! so shut the hell up! You telling a marine what iraq is really about is like telling John the baptist what jesus was really about."

I guarantee that some narcissitic little bastard is going to answer this question with something about how soldiers and marines are puppets of the government. Just wait.

I very seldomly read or heard someone bash the troops. Don't get fooled, very few people dislike the troops (the ones that do not rape). Everyone is more than happy having heroes defend whatever it is we want. Thanks for your work, but the "bashers" you mention are probably questioning the motives, not the people on the ground with their a22 in the line of fire.

Here you'll see who is NOT supporting the troops;

You still don't see who it is that really bashes the troops?

wars are started by governments who are heavily involved in business, so essentially business starts war, not individual soldiers. I have not bad mouthed US soldiers, I bad mouth the government that chooses to send these soldiers. the world would be a safer place if all the Us military would just stay in north america and protect from there. there is no military force in the the world that could immobilize it's force and cross either ocean, not with satellites. All that the US is achieving is making more and more people dislike and hate them.
nothing against individual soldiers

I don't like to hear our troops bashed, especially considering my husband is serving in Iraq. But I do appreciate this thing call FREEDOM OF SPEECH and would never ask for there to be a restriction put on it. I say speak up because it makes it easier for me to weed out the idiots. :)

,military people are just puppets of a goverment

They get obsessed with that issue of "defending a country" when the reality is that they go and kill people and some of them dont even know why are they fighting.

Then, sadly, some of them return to their country without an arm, a leg or just death.... is not worth it.

If the president of a country wants a war, he should be the one in the list to fight.

Presidents should be the one who fight their own war, they are the one who are coward.

** Thanks a lot people, you just make my point, you are not part of a democracy, you are obsessed and will kill everyone who doesnt think like u, maybe thats why you are perfect as a militar ** Hey

BTW, if some "narcisstic little prick" has a problem with the concept, I'll defend his right to his opinion to the death! That's what it's REALLY all about -- to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States of America.
