Why would you want to start a new religion? Are your beliefs so different that you can't seem to fit into an existing religion?

The One, True, Complete Scam.
That way you are bieng honest when you take people's money, tithe them, collection plate, seed money, alms, indulgences.... and you can even try to think up way that the religions we have now haven't yet thought up. Good luck with that though!
