I heard a group of Russian programmers had a new coppyrightable version of xp that has completely uprooted explorer and it runs fast and perfect. It is available for download as I understand. Since it is a completely different animal from windows imbedded with explorer it is supposed to be legal until the courts make a desision. Where can I find it if this is true.

I have not heard of this, you know that IE is just not a web browser, it is integrated into other parts of the OS, for example: Windows Explorer, MS Word, Outlook. I know of several programs that can remove it safely, but on the other hand the OS does not act the same. And without Microsofts blessing and authorization, the russians Cannot alter the XP without violating the EULA. Good Luck
