I'm schizoaffective,& ADD need to take an ADD med, rtalin sux, is adderal a good idea? I had sucess w\sampling

Ritalin made me moody, but the samples of adderal are very clean and It seems to aid my Schizoaffective disorganized behavior, My depression, and helps me with social situations as well.

They are both stimulants like methamphetamine or speed. If you had success with Adderall then I would say to take it. I would watch out for problems as it may not work out for you forever and you may need a non stimulant medication to treat your problems.

Ritalin and Adderal are both stimulants. They work for ADD, but both have similar side effects. Most of my clients who used either medicine had trouble keeping weight on due to stomache cramps and loss of appetite. Straterra and Concerta are rather new ADD meds and they are non-stimulants that work as well as Ritalin and Adderal without as many side effects. Sometimes you just have to try a few until you see what works for you. Talk to your doctor about it.

ok heres the deal... one of my best friends has ADD and he takes adderal and it works wonders for him! he stays focused and everything! um but u want to take it at a regular time and usually early in the morning around 6 because if you take it to late you can get really "loopy/hyper" well atleast my friend did... and it can also wear off around 11pm i learned that from him too! lol hope that helped

I'm not a doctor love but I would consult your doctor with this question. Not all drugs are what they are meant to be and a lot of them have side effects. (and other drugs are prescribed by doctors to help the other side effects of the first drug) There are places you can research online to understand your condition better. But your best bet is to talk with your doctor instead of strangers online.
