Could be we end up with Eight Planets and a whole bunch of "Planetoids"
Seems there may be a change in what a Planet really is?
I wonder if those will be like Galactic Hemorrhoids............ ummmmm LOL 8-)

One Moon? He made multiple moons for several planets and then ran out of moon materials allocated for this system, so we are lucky to have even one. 9 plantes? Actually it used to be 10 but one broke down into pieces (asteroids)... again, He was probably running out of quality materials and we should feel lucky it wasn't Earth that fell apart. Mercury? I forgot what's the problem with that one, was it the backward spinning? May be it was the first planet created in the system, sort of a practice run. Then God looked and it and some of his ideas looked good to Him and some didn't, so He used only the ones He liked for the rest of the system.. Yeah, I know, God is supposed to make everything perfect from the start, but may be it was a perfect practice run - He didn't need another one afterwards, did He?

(It is He Who gave the sun his brightness and the moon her light, and ordained her phases precisely so that you may calculate years and dates from this. Allah has not created all this (for mere fun) but for a serious end. He makes His Signs manifest for those people who possess knowledge. In the alternation of the night and day and in all that Allah has created in the heavens and the earth, surely there are Signs for those who intend avoiding (deviation from the Truth )
(Another Sign for them is the night: We remove the day from above it, and they are covered in darkness. And the Sun: it is moving to its place of rest. This is the decree of the All-Mighty, All-Knowing God. And the Moon: We have determined stages for it till it again becomes like an old dry palm-branch. Neither is it possible for the Sun to overtake the Moon, nor for the night to outstrip the day. Each is gliding in its own orbit.)

There are actually 10 planets now. I have heard the theory that two more planets will be discovered, and the 12 planets will represent the 12 tribes of Israel.

The Bible says, "God made the sun to rule by day, and the moon to rule by night".

How can we understand what a God does???
God is a god and he doesn't need our approval for his actions, nor is he responsible for explaining himself...
God knows things that we don't know and acts accordingly... He doesn't need to run it by us first...

Well He knows everything, not us... not you... so if I were you Id just trust He knows what He's doing and maybe someday you'll be able to ask Him yourself.
