no, you can't bake a cake in the microwave. It lacks the ability to brown the cake and cook it evenly. Years ago there used to be kits that somebody like pillsbury made that can with a special foil lined cardboard pan that you could use in the microwave. Musta been a flop, cause they don't make em anymore.

MOIST CHOCOLATE CAKE IN MICROWAVE OVEN

1/4 c. (1/2 stick butter)
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chocolate syrup

Cream butter and sugar; add eggs and beat until fluffy. Add sifted dry ingredients, vanilla and chocolate syrup. Beat until thoroughly blended. Pour into an 8-inch square or round glass baking dish. Cook, uncovered, 7 minutes in microwave oven.

FROSTING:

While cake is still warm, spread 1 cup miniature marshmallows over the top. In microwave oven, melt 2 tablespoons butter for 30 seconds in glass mixing bowl. Add 1/2 cup sugar and 2 tablespoons evaporated milk; mix thoroughly. Cook uncovered, for 2 minutes. Quickly mix in 1/4 cup chocolate chips and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla. Pour over cake and blend with marshmallows.
Microwave cooking times are approximate. Cooking time varies with the model of microwave oven.

Any cake can be cooked in the microwave but remember it will not "brown" like one cooked in the regular oven. The taste will be the same but it maybe heavier and moister then you are used to. When microwaving your cake, grease the outside of a round microwave safe glass or mug and place it in the center of the pan before you add the batter, for more even cooking. It is really nice for brownies or banana bread type cakes.

Ew i don't know, sounds really weird. But try it! Especially if a microwave if your only cooking option. I just don't know if the cake will come out right, I just think it will burn up or something or just be mush.
