I met my bf a year ago in a japanese chatroom and we were friends for 6 months after that. In december he asked me to be his gf and we have been together since. He treats me like no other and tells me I am his world and sometimes it kinda scares me but I appreciate that he treats me so well. We have a long distance relationship but we talk on the phone everyday and we are really close as friends and as lovers. He assures me that he will find a way to make this last beyond forever because he says forever is just not enough time for the love that he feels to be given out. He is coming down next month and we are going to finally meet. Sometimes I feel like this is like a dream come true and hes such an amazing guy I never would have guessed that I would find someone like him. All we have seen are pictures of eachother and when we talk its like we have known eachother forever in lifetimes before. It feels so perfect but will it actually last? I mean with all the distance between us?

Only time will tell. Lighten up and enjoy the visit. It is so easy for someone to be the perfect partner when they aren't there everyday making you nuts. That's why men who are in prision for life manage to find women to marry them. It's easy to be perfect when all you have to do is key in your responses on the computer, then you can edit as much as necessary before hitting enter and sending it to the one you are hoping to impress. You know a lot about this person, or at least what this person wants you to know about him. But you don't know him until you have experienced certain life-changing moments with him. So, don't sweat it, you're young I assume, you have time. Relax and enjoy his visit. You will find out what fate has in store for you both, in due time.

you don't say where you are from.
Please be cautious. Many of us online feel the tug of the heart with a sweet talking guy online. Meeting face to face might be day and night. It also might be the best thing in the world.
He might just be setting you up to get to the united states/
I always wonder why a guy can't find a local girlfriend and finds one online with somoene across the ocean.
Guard your heart. Be willing to be happy and be ready to be disappointed.
Make sure you are safe with this guy you have never really known.

You never know with a relationship. He could still love you, but you could fall out of love with him or VS.

As people grow older, their taste changes. They mature and sometimes grow apart.

I dated a guy for 2 years, I thought I was going to marry him. It came out to, I wasn't right for him. He loved me, but, He didn't see me as his life partner. Now, I have been dating someone else for almost a year. I would have never ever thought I would be with someone else a year ago.

The distance won't be a problem as long as you two communicate, have trust, and have fun.

Good luck.

I hope it does work out

Depends on how much effort you both put forth to make the relationship work. Long distance relationships are not easy.

Long distant relationships don't work....trust me. Eventually one of you will wander due to the need of actual physical touch/contact. You may say it will never happen, but eventually it will. I wish you both the best.
