I'm getting a Yorkie in late October and am trying to think of some names. It is going to be a male probably around 5 lbs. at maturity. I want really cute & names that aren't too common. I really like the names "Duke" and "Prince" but everyone I have talked to about it says that those are "names for big dogs" so now I'm on the quest to find one I really like...

Okay "pretty and Perfect" just because I flipped on you about your stupid question doesn't mean you have to leave a stupid answer on my question. Mmmk. This question's not stupid it's called a question for people to reply with their opinions.

I have a small dog named "Gizmo" It isn't too common, though I have heard a few by that name. It is always hard for me to pick a name I really like too. I usually look at the puppy and it's personality and the first thing that comes to mind is what I name him/her. Good Luck

Naming a dog is all about personality. We have some yorkies, poms, and shelties, and there names are Rami, Zippy, Zipper, Zero, Teddy, Shadow, and Shorty. I always know what to name them after I have them for about 3 hours.

My friend named her shih tzu Princess Ella Enchanted,so you could name him something cute using the names you like and put them in a shortened version so your friends won't complain. You could name him something like Sir prince Edward, and shorten it to Prince(like you wanted),or eddie.Or something else, but the example is good.

Well What does it look like? For instance, my dog is a brown color like the sand on the beach, so we named her Sandie. Think of stuff like that. I hope that I helped you somewhat.
