I mean there are so many places Latino's come from but from reading the answers from latino based questions all I have seen are "There just a bunch of mexicans." Cuba, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Colombia, ect. They are all Latino's too. Alot of caucasian people I know get mad if I group them as "white people." If I call my friend Kristy Itailan when she is Irish she is ready to drop-kick me.

That is so true. I think it is because the majority of Latino people in America are Mexicano and because of all the drama going on with immigration that people group us as a whole. Still, I can not stand when I say I am Latino and someone says "Oh your mexican" like there are no other Latino races out there. Especially since I live in Texas, I am automatically put in with Mexicans.

Um well I'm cuban and i'd rather be called hispanic or cuban. i dont like to be called latino because most ppl think it means mexican and im cuban, theres a difference people. we're not all the same. we all have different traditions, looks, and everything! the onlyt hing thats the same is our language!

lol. I am from "the heart land" and we really only have mexicans here. I met one person from the Dominican Republic-lol. I get your point though.

Because they basically all look the same and they usually speak the same language, Spanish...
