I agree. And if she keeps talking, a good flush will drown her out. Do it a couple of times and she'll get the idea.

Perhaps it's just nervous chat, to keep you thinking about the conversation and not the deposits they're making lol. If you're talking you can't really listen for the sounds of flatulence or deposits being made. I'd be willing to bet money they talk loud too.
try not responding until you leave the stall. after a while they'll catch the hint. Or heck, tell them nicely "shut-up! I'm trying' ta' poop!"
We train others how to treat us all the time without even realizing it.
if they ask you why you don't talk in the stall (which i doubt they will) honestly respond that you're uncomfortable doing so. or you'd prefer to concentrate on the matter of relieving yourself. : )

One time my friend and I were carring on a conversation about another friend and she happened to be in the third stall. We truly didn't say anything nasty about her. Just that we didn't think she would show up at a party that we were having in a couple of weeks. Well we all came out at the same time and we felt like we just called her the ***** of the world or something. We tried to talk to her and all she did was keep washing her hands. It was terribly ackward. So they better be careful.

Personally, my Dear, I think that it all depends on just who one is talking to. My close freinds and I will continue a conversation in the bathroom, yet with co-workers it all depends on how well I know them, how good the gossip actually is and what the time frame is. If you don't choose to talk, don't. Simply "excuse me I'm trying to concentrate" will make people leave you alone in a split second. A few applications of this works wonders. Good luck.

Personally if they don't care about if anybody else being in the stalls and they are not stopping the conversations. Why not join in the conversations, and see what happens. AFter all they are the ones being disrepectful and letting everybody else letting them hear what is going on and hearing what's going on like its ok for them to join in the conversation. anyways that's just my opinion.
If they didn't want anybody else to join in their conversation they shouldn't keep on talking when someone else comes in.

I think you are being too harsh. It is a girl thing! Yes, somethings don't need to be discussed aloud, but if you are just care free talking..who cares!!!

some public bathrooms are where you echo in them and people can hear you from the outside wall
