Peter or Simon whichever way you want to call him was married. I think priests should be married. Jesus healed Peter's mother-in-law. If it was good enough for an apostle surely it is good enough for any other man.

I think saying that priests search for innocent girls is grossly untrue and mostly unfounded, but I do support the idea of priests being allowed to marry.

No, but the reason priests aren't allowed to marry is because in earlier times Catholic priests were allowed to marry and have children. The possessions of priests were given to them by the church. When the priest died all of his possessions went to his children, many of whom turned from the church. Because the church didn't want it's property to go to places outside of the church, the banned priests from marrying.
