In 8th grade I met this amazing boy. I guess you could say he was my first love. (I'm going in to 10th) Hes been dating the same girl on and off sence 7th. I liked more and more after i got to know him because he has this amazing personality. After 8th grade we went to diffrent high schools. I was crushed but I kinda got over it. I think about him every once in a while. I saw him at home comeing last year and now when ever I hear that song wake me up when september ends by green day I think of him. (he likes green day alot. He got me in to them) I was woundering if some thing like this has happened to any body else. He might come to my home coming again this year and I was woundering if I shouldn't go. If I saw him it would bring all those feelings back. How could I just get over him. I kinda feel stupid.

We go to different schools now.
I told him how I feel about him.
I've tried dating other guys but I usually end up comparing them to him.

Try telling him. Maybe you cant stop thinking about him because you are keeping your feelings bottled up inside. If that is not something you want to do, try focusing on another guy. That always helps me.

Over time you will get over it.

I wish there was a magical way you could snap your fingers and say something that would make those feelings disapear, but there aren't any.

When I was in 9th grade I really crushed on this guy, who was a junior (11th grade). Both of us played high school soccer together. I was able to get to know him more over that season. The next year he graduated and I still had feelings for him. Every year he would come home from christmas and watch the soccer games that the highschool had (because soccer season in hawaii is different from most). Everytime I saw him, he took my breath away. I liked him alot. I thought about him alot. From 9th grade until this year.( I am going to be a freshmen in college.)

I ran into him at a coffee shop a month ago and for some reason, I didn't have feelings for him anymore. He didnt take my breath away. I realised that he wasn't that great. I asked myself "What was I thinking". Over time I was able to get over him, without realising it.

Don't worry. Things will even out. If you really super duper like this dude. TELL HIM.

take care.

goodluck

:)

If there were any clear directions for how to get over a guy, I'd publish them and become a millionare. Time is the only thing that will help, and you won't believe me now but I'm 27 and speaking from experience, five years from now you won't remember his last name.

Tell him your feelings for him. Since he's dating this girl on and off maybe he might like a break from her. For Good. So tell him how you feel, and maybe he might have the same feelings for you, but was too afraid you didn't have the same feelings for him anymore.

I know it doesn't seem likely right now, but you will get over him eventually. It will take time, but soon enough, every time you hear a Green Day song, you won't immediately think of him. But don't rush your self. It will happen gradually. One day, he won't occupy your every thought. Good luck.

The only way to get over it is to confront the way you feel.
Are you in love with this guy? Does he have a girlfriend? Are you friends? Sometimes you don't have to get over someone. Sometimes it's as simple as defining your place in their life.
