no, it's for anyone who has curly hair and wants it straight. that's as simple as that.

Relaxers aren't only for black people. They make relaxers for white people also. There are different brands of relaxer that work best on different textures of hair. You can ask at your local salon what relaxer may be best for your hair type.

Everyone can get a chemical relaxer (Sodium Hydroxide). Chemical Relaxers do more than straighten for African-Americans, but it gives body to the Caucasian-Americans.A sodium hydroxide relaxer will also straighten hair that is super curly among our Caucasian-Americans.

That does sound a bit racist, but people with very curly hair will use a relaxer so that they can have straighter or straight hair.

Originally the main ingredient in relaxer lye was intended to straighten kinky hair it also can be used tostraighten curly hair. Hair that is natrually straight would not need relaxing.

Yep. Anyone with kinky/curly hair can use a relaxer. However, that Japanese Thermal Straightener seems to be more popular with non-Blacks.

Just a correction: Japanese Straighting Technique is also somewhat popular with blacks too but there are not that many black beauticians that are trained to do that technique, plus it is very expensive and time consuming
