I love having oatmeal for breakfast since its suppose to be good for you, but it doesn't fill me up.

Me either. Try some protein too. Cook up an egg, or some egg whites. Or have some cottage cheese. I usually eat a banana, a low fat yogurt, and fat free waffles or a small bowl of cereal. That keeps me good for a few hours.

The first answerer is correct...you need protein for it to stay with you, carbs alone won't do it. I had the same problem, and have found that eating just a small slice of cheese gives it that extra staying power.

You've got to doctor it up a bit. Start with "Large Flake" instead of instant and add cinnamon, soy milk, bananas, a spoon of ground flax seed. And, have a boiled egg or cheese with it too.

probably because oatmeal has few calories. It is not a substantional ammount of food.

eat more oatmeal. also oatmeal should be thick enough to stand on as my grandmother used to say.

increase the amount/proportion
eat with fresh fruit
herbal tea
