Not really. Most folks are qualified to solo with about 10 hours of instruction. I qualified in 8.

No it is more difficult earning the money for the lessons. I always found flying to be easy, the landing, crosswind and gusting is the hard part.

It just takes practise. A lot of practise.
Find a good instructor and it will be very rewarding.

my dad has and flies one, my brother is learning. lessons may be expensive, but it's only hard if you don't pay attention and practice.
