First you should try trimming the ends in SHAPE. (Layers always work) Shampoo with cleansing shampoo. Use conditioners that are not balsams..... for instance, Pantene, Suave, Creme of nature. These are all balsams and tend to make hair weigh down and oily. Use a humecto conditioner. Kera Care by Avalon is a GOOD ONE. Also, try roller setting in a setting lotion (Kera Care by AvAlon is an excellent setting lotion that doesn't need diluting, it gives a firm,(not hard) set, get throughly dry(hair that is throughly dried stand less chance of frizzing and will last longer) wear loose curls that will fall straight as the day or even week goes along.

i have long straight hair, i had alot of problems with oil, and hair flying and all that i tried everything i also wanted my hair to grow some, and i finally decided the best way to get all this to stop and go my way was to put herbs back into my hair like they must have done way back when so i found herbal essences there is a green bottle for oily, or you can read on them and see what they take care of, they are really good and they make your hair shiny and everyone ask me how i do it. So i hope this helps..:)

After you wash with a good cleansing shampoo DO NOT USE CONDITIONER! if your hair is that oily you don't need it. oil is a natural conditioner. Try not to blow dry but if you have too use a med. heat setting
