My hair is too thick to curl and no matter what product i try it never works so i've given up on curling irons and store products. I dont have bangs, but my hair will have long layers and will frame my face. i really want to wear it down someway put still up. How should i wear it?

Why not just embrace the fact that you have the kind of hair that many women would kill for and wear it down. Let it be all swingy and shiny. Or, pull the top back in a half-up and fasten with a hairsafe tie and a pretty (hair safe) ornament.

Maybe you should let someone who is a professional give it a try. Then they can help choose a style that will frame your face right.

you should go to a hair salon and ask them for a pop-a-don its like a handful of hair that loops over then clicp it into a ponytail it will be cute.give me your address or email me so i can get it to show you what it looks like.
warning:it cant work on shorthaired unless you have weave

Try pulling just a small part from the top/front back into a barette or small clip.
