LOL! Funny. By the way, I'm also interested in Religious Studies. Can you offer any good websites or books where I can learn about Hinduism?
I Love You: Correction, it was Muslims, not Hindus.

I'm not sure you are sincere with this question. Why do you think Hinduism is of the devil? What do you really know about it? What do you know about Christian denominations? hmmm.. could be you want to see a bunch of Christians competing for your membership?
PS. and now I see some other answers and it looks like you are enjoying all the sarcastic posts bashing Christianity altogether? hmmm.. going to get an abuse report?

Christians do not need to join a denomination. The bible refers to that issue. You can practice Christian worship and study by getting a bible, and a concordance, and read, read. There are also study programs by mail, Emmaus school in Dubuque, Iowa sells at modest cost such study programs, and there are plenty of others. Religious bookstores sell study books of all types. There are even study bibles, but I have not found them to be what a beginner wants.
As far as denominations, there are every sort with every sort of twist on the Bible. For example, many Protestant denominations believe you do not need to be baptized to be "saved", but out of obedience to Christ, you probably should be baptized. A Church of Christ pastor told me once that if you are not baptized, and baptized by total immersion, rather than sprinkling, you are going to Hell. That sort of childish quibbling is the bad part of denominations.
Catholics are Christians, but they believe the Pope is God's offical representative on earth, and so are the priests.
Mormons are the most family based Christian religion, but they believe their founder discovered gold plates in a field which represents ancient life in North America, and they have their own prophet, not unlike the Catholic Pope. They also believe you can retroactively bring your deceased ancestors into the fold; my brother joined a year or two ago, and just today I discovered for the first time the names of my great-great-grandparents.
Though I cannot handle their theology, they are the church with the best family and personal life. They teach you how to live, and they are nearly exempt from a lot of illnesses due to their diet instructions.
There are a number of bible-based denominations, as I said each with its own twist. Too many of them develop cult like attitudes, where you are supposed to use certain language or you are not saved. For example, I knew Protestants who said Mother Teresa was going to Hell, because she never said she was "saved". Anyone who knows anything about nuns well knows that it is part of becoming a nun to accept Christ as your personal savior; the cults think she was supposed to stop taking care of dying people, and run around shouting, "I am born again! Alleluia!" at the top of her lungs, and since she didn't do that, she must be going to Hell. (Lord Deliver Me!)
Different denominations, and individual churches within those denominations have different personalities. Some are very friendly and services are like "love-ins" which some people want. Others are more withdrawn and some people want to hear a sermon and go home, without a lot of hugging.
Some sing a lot, which I really don't like buy my wife loves!
Some really hammer on donating 10%; others simply tell once a year what is needed to run the church, and when the money isn't there, they start cutting back on services.
If you want a main denomination with strong bible backing, there is always the Baptist church, with regular or Southern versions. (The Southern Baptist split occurred many years ago, when the national organization issued a statement that slavery was sinful, and the southen Baptists left the fold, seriously.) If you want more feel-good stuff and female pastors, there is always the Methodist church.
What can I say? In the US with total freedom of religion there are hundreds of choices. I know people who spend all their Sundays running to different churches, trying to find one which suits their Royal Majesties personal theology. Sigh!
You can even start your own church and try to attract members, but if you claim church status for tax purposes, you had better be there on schedule, because once in a while, the IRS has been to known to come to a house on Sunday morning to attend the service, and it there ain't one, someone is in a heap of trouble!

You don't need a denomination. You need a local church to love you, teach you and give you a place to mature. Even more than that, you need a relationship with Jesus. He rose from the dead and He desires to be your Savior and Lord. Invite Him into your life and follow him. He will lead you to the local church I spoke of above and eventually He will lead you through the denominational maze. Incidentally, all religion is of the devil. Jesus said that God was looking for people to worship Him in spirit and in truth.

I would suggest one of the ones that specializes in passing judgement over others. You seem to have that part down by claiming that Hinduism is of the devil.

Go to a few churches and measure what they say against what you learn from the Bible. Just keep in mind that all Christians are still human, just because we believe in the wonderful work that Christ has done in our lives, doesn't mean that we are perfect. And stay clear of churches that tell you that other denominations are wrong and evil, they generally want to control you.
May God bless you.

You should put your faith and trust in what the Lord Jesus Christ did for you on the cross He died for your sins. If you believed that that the you are placed in His body by the Spirit which is the church. You need to find a church that believe in the grace of God and not under the law. Ephesians 1: 22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, Ephesians 1: 23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all. 1 Corinthians 12: 13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

HOnestly darling... Your just weird... HINDUISM is NOT "of the devil" and I find it very offensive that you think that... You might be upset about the whole "Hindu people crashed into the trade towers." But not all hindus are BAD! I know plenty of nice hindus and just so you know the only religion of the devil is gothic.
