I would say...
5 times 5 is 25 then minus 1 is 24...you said we can use each number only once...but you did not say we had to use ALL of the numbers.

that doesn't make any sense at all on of the 5s has to be a different # like 4 then it wud be

4*5=20+5=25-1=24

Unless you could leave out one of the 5s, and have 5x5=25-1=24
Otherwise I don't got it
