Try an Internet search engine like yellowpages.com first. (*Note: if you use yellowpages.com, click 'White Pages' to look up a person!) This will give you basic info such as current address and phone number, and lead to other sites that could help, like US Search(this particular one will cost you about $30 for a search, but includes info like aliases, property, addresses, etc.) Before you do anything, though, be sure to check out more than one site. US Search is only a suggestion, and there are plenty of scams out there.
Good luck searching!

Is this a genealogy question, or a lost persons question, or someone looking for their adopted child, or are you just looking for someone you once dated?
