CNET has several free downloads. I can't speak for any of them, but CNET is pretty reputable and wouldn't recommend anything harmful. If you get the Google toolbar, it has a pop-up blocker as well.

If you don't have SpyBot or Ad-Aware, you should download one or both as well (both free) and run them. You may have unwittingly downloaded an over-enthusiastic program on your computer that's letting the pop-ups in. Good luck!

Toolbars clutter the screen. Switch over to Firefox. Download a plugin called Adblock. You could search for adlock files that you can import into Adblock. With Adblock you can actually block ads inside of webpages. Take back the internet!

And as another poster said, you may want to do a full system scan with Ad-aware, Spybot, Windows Defender, and AVG Virusscanner.

Have you clicked on Yahoo's pop-up blocker button? There is an option for "Why am I still getting pop-ups"? You might find the answer there.

Internet Explorer 7 is still in Beta, and has a built in pop up blocker. If you are using pop-up blocker and you still get popups, it is because of spy ware.

Download AdAware (http://www.lavasoftusa.com) for free, and it will find and eliminate spyware.
