I am in high school, and I don't know how to tell if this guy likes me or did like me. I do not want to just go up and ask him. The situation is kind of weird. A lot of people think this guy is gay but some of the stuff he says and acts around me makes me kind of question if he is or isn't. Also how do I tell if he is gay or not? He is kind of fruity and prissy. He is always telling me that I am beautiful and stuff and always asking me if I have a boyfriend and who I like and stuff. He has also told my brother that I am hott but I was too friendly, then later he told my brother I had gotten frisky. I do not like him, but I want to know how I can tell if he likes me without asking him, our relationship is awkward we are not really friends, he kind or creeps me out. Also if he does how should I act? I do not like him and I don't want him getting the wrong idea.

My brother tells me the guy likes me but I think he does it just to see my reaction, which is shutter, and look creeped out.

He either likes you, or he's asking if you have a boyfriend for someone who doesn't have the kahunas to come up & talk to you directly (ie: a shy guy). If it does turn out to be him, be nice but be firm in telling him how you feel in no uncertain terms...don't lead him on or give him any hope that it may be more if you don't feel that way. Just be friendly, but not over-friendly, and act naturally. It sounds like he could be a bit lonely, so maybe he's just looking for friends. If that's the case and you don't want to be friends, keep all conversations short. Don't give excuses for walking away, just say "okay then, see you later" and leave. If he tells you you're hot, or compliments you, just casually say "thanks" and change the subject. As for whether he's gay or not, if you don't like him then why be concerned about it? It's not really any of your business. It would be hard enough being gay in high school without having people wondering all the time.

Your relationship isn't awkward. You don't have one. You aren't friends, he creeps you out -- and you think he may be gay, and you're wondering if he likes you? Honey, there are better things to do in life than fret about a situation like this one.
Best way to prevent him from getting the wrong idea is to treat him the same way you treat 99% of your other friends. That other 1% is reserved for your boyfriend.

Gay guys tell all the girls that they are cute and pretty! They just say it, without even giving it a thought - because the don't really feel the connection because they are gay! However, in this situation one has to see the reactions - his - whenever he is around you. That will definettly make it clear! Is one of the things that one has to see, in order to judge!
ps don't tell anyone to ask him about you, because he will most probably know what's going on and will simply just say somthing positive about you. Forget about that.

Since your brother seems to be the one passing message back and forth, have your brother tell the guy that either a) you only like him as a friend (if you do) or b) that you are really interested in some other guy (even if it's not true). If he keeps bothering you, you could say it nicely, but in a direct way that you are not interested in him.

Well this is a hypothetical.How am I supposed to know this guys feelings or intentions,if you don't?For what it's worth,I dont't think he's gay Otherwise he would'nt be making small talk with you.Your brother seems to know him better than you.Perhaps you should query his sexuality with your brother.Whatever the guys' intentions are,is pointless as you say you don't like him.Be content,you are friends and leave it at that

1. if you don't like him and ur not really friends you should get your brother to hint that u dont like him.
2. if he like u he would flirt with you and try to find out if u have a bf or who u like.( dont tell him that its a secret on who u like cause he may think its him and u dont want to send wrong signals)
3.be polite around him when he talks to you, maybe try befriending him (maybe that is what he wants)
4. if he creeps you out get your brother on your side and let him do the rest or a good friend(get them to tell him nicly that u don't like him and he creeps u out or at least somthing that will get him to stop buggung you

Well, you obviously aren't interested in this guy, so if you don't even want to be friends with him, then you need to let him know. Talk to him, write him a note, tell your brother to talk to him, whatever. But you need to communicate. There, I've answered your question.

You say you don't like him - they why all the hub bub. Be friendly, but in a general, distant way - smile, wave but don't engage in conversation except hi and bye.
Doesn't really matter if he is gay if you aren't interested. Have your brother tell him you aren't. Smile, wave and keep walking!
