Ideally you want to get a set of clubs that fit your physique. Being 6'2" a standard set of men's clubs would not be a good choice. You'd probably need clubs that were at least an inch over the standard length.

If you can't afford to get fitted for clubs then your best bet is to go to your local golf shop like Golfsmith, Roger Dunn's, or something like it and look for a set that would fit you. Before you do that take a look at the charts on this web page http://prolinecustomgolf.com/golf_club_length_fitting_chart.htm so you can determine the specs you should be looking for in a set of golf clubs.

If you go to the golf shop armed with this information they'll be able to help you right away... and if they don't have what you need then may be find a set you like and have them re-shafted and the lie changed to fit your body.

Good Luck,
Don Smith

Best Golf Clubs For Men

I it possible that a "standard" set would fit you fine. Your height is not the criteria by which clubs are fit. It is more important to measure how far your arms hang from the ground. If you are tall, but have really long arms, you might fit a "standard"

I agree with the other comments, if you are serious about your golf game, you should probably get a custom fitting, but if you are just starting out, a standard set is probably fine for now.

The best thing to do is to get fitted , I'm 6'1 and I use to play standard clubs but always had small issues so one day I decided to get fitted and found out that I needed longer clubs to match my swing I went from a 12 handicap to a 3 it made a world of difference , please if you are going to invest in a great set of clubs and want to get the most enjoyment out of the game you should get fitted you wont regret it , Good Luck .

You will be able to golf with them, but you will probably like custom made clubs better.

No but you would need them to be upright. You should try several sets at demo days and have someone fit you for clubs first.

For a casual golfer they are fine, but if you are a low handicapper in competition, you would want to get custom fit clubs.
