Hey, my mom thinks I'm too young to go to go to the mall alone, and I'm already 12. What do you think I should do?

I agree with your mom... I have a sister who is twelve and I would feel confertable with her at the mall w/o a parent. You just need to know that there are creapy old guys that like little kids...Its not safe w/o a parent. Wait till your at least 16..so your a little stronger to protect yourself. Also go with a group of friends...strength in packs!

Listen to your mom! She'll get "smarter" as you get older. There are to many freaks out there for you to go to a mall by yourself. A 12 year old girl (or boy) alone at a mall is a freak magnet.

I think you should listen to mom, you are too young to go to the mall by your self. A lot of bad stuff could happen to you.

Not go to the mall alone. There are too many creepy people out there, and you're too young to deal with it by yourself.
Go with friends. Ask her to chaperone from a distance. Don't put yourself in a position where your parents may be having to identify your remains.

Ask if you can go to the mall with a group of friends. Maybe if you talk to her, set up a certain time in the day where its not dark or anything.
Just try to compromise something out with her.

im around the same age and i go with my mom and friends... but once we get to the mall she goes one way and me and my friends go the other.. but we talk every like 20 min on our cells and we meet at like the food court later... but yea.. u should deff. have someone there with you.. because there are some very creepy people that have sick perverted minds.... so just to be safe ur mom or some type of guardian shoudl be there somewhere in the mall.....

Your mom is right.I don't know where you live,I'm in Los Angeles,but it's because your mom loves you that she wants to protect you.Lots of kids go missing and it's sad for everyone,sad to say things aren't like they were when I was a kid in the 70's.Be glad you have a mom that cares and take your time on growing up.Sounds weird,I know,but some day you'll remember how great it was to have someone take care of you,and hopefully you will learn to pass it on....
