I sure hope not. I married my best friend 35 years ago and we are still together. Hon, You must be friends with your loved one. After awhile lust and looks fade. (take pictures NOW) You must want to hang with them and be able to talk to them. You will always have your friendship to fall back on.. It is a good thing.
God bless and hugs from Texas. {:-)

Is it like having sex with your brother? If you have to see him all of the time perhaps you should call it off and explain to him why. I think that people take dating too seriously at a young age. I would be candid and tell him that you feel really creepy when he gets turned on with you. When I was younger I would always try to get in my best friends sisters pants, which never really happened and for a good reason. It would have ruined a bunch of friendships over a lustful attraction. It never went any further than kissing. I bet she is as big as a house by now......

I think it is great to date someone you are friends with because you already know what they are like. The fact that you are already worried that it won't work makes me wonder if it isn't meant to be. Sometimes some people are just meant to be friends, but you had to take the chance to see if there was more between you two then just a friendship.

Yes, I do think it's a bad idea. If the relationship doesn't work out, then you've lost a boyfriend and a best friend all at once. Good luck!

Sounds like you've aleady answered your own question and it wasn't the best idea... for now anyway. Talk to him and tell him you miss the relationship you had before you started dating. Make the decision together to either try more or end the bf/gf situation and go back to being great friends. IMHO, the best lovers were friends first.

yea i don't think it is really a good idea, because u know so much about the guy. I mean if u really r best friends then u should know everything about him, including the info about preveus girls. Also when or if u break up u guys have a very slim chance of being friends still... It is possible but it is really hard to do.

IT IS a good idea. You already have a solid foundation. If things don't work out you may not get back exactly what you had before..but its not impossible. I've seen people break up and become better friends then they were when they were dating.

I'm not sure, a bad idea no if you really like eachother like that. He is your friend and you are worried about hurting him if something goes wrong. THis goes to show you really care about him as a friend. I think that you should maybe break it off. Tell him that you only did it to save your friendship because you care about him. Just be careful about what you say. Good luck

My best friend is my boyfriend. We were best friends for 2 years, and we've been going out for 1 year. After all, your boyfriend SHOULD be your best friend, and you should be HIS best friend. I think the relationship just works out better that way.
