Part of eating disorders are traits very much like personality disorders....which is just a nice way of saying that people with untreated eating disorders are all nuking futs. That's the bad news. The good news is that most eating disorders, particularly bulimia, respond quite well to correct treatment.

The bottom line. If you are involved with a woman who is bulimic, she either agrees to go into treatment with an eating disorders specialist (usually a Licensed Clinical Psychologist), or you give her the boot.

it is never OK. This devastating disorder plays havoc on the body and has a toll on the brain---affects it immensely---the person will have to fight it for the rest of his or her life. I have seen the effects of this and it is so destructive for everyone around the person. Seek medical attention of the person will end with a shall of the person he or she was---one effect to the brain is that the person sees like every thing is normal even when the body is so wasted---just skin and bones.

It's not bad to eat...our bodies can't funtion without food! You have to like yourself and being bulimic is a deadly way to loose weight or control eating. Your organs will shut down and your menstural period will cease...there will be so many health problems.

I would say that the person who said that it is okay more than likely has got the same disorder or something similar.
