I have been considering a new Eclipse or a nissan 350 Z? Now you must think that I am going to try and get stationed 4 hours away from home so I will be doing alot of traveling back and forth on holiday week-ends and stuff so what should I get. I am a 19/ male.

Ok, first off I am a military wife, and I have worked in military loans - and I can't stress enough about budgeting while in the military. I couldn't even tell you how many soldiers I had coming into the office who couldn't get a loan because they didn't realize how little they actually make (they're car payments and insurance were too high to be concidered for even a $500 loan!). Most of those fresh in the military don't realize they don't really make all that much - and make the mistake of going out and buying an expensive car.

I would first suggest you make a budget for yourself. Realize how much you are actually going to be making. Then decide whether you will be living in the barracks or if you are going to rent by yourself, with friends whatever. Are you going to be eating out a lot or are you going to be eating in the d-fac? Contact insurance companies BEFORE you buy so you know how much your insurance will be (approximately). Do some research online on what kind of car you want, what kind of fuel effciency it has (since you plan on driving a lot). Go to your bank to see what kind of car loan you can qualify for and how much the payments would be for the max amount you want to spend. From there you can start car shopping - letting the dealer know that you are pre-approved for a loan (most will give a better deal once they know you're already qualified). By letting them know how much you can spend you can then figure out which car is best for you and it will be something you can actually afford!

Oh and good luck on getting station of choice. My brother has been in the airforce for 15 years and has yet to even get one of his top 5 choices. Same here, we haven't been lucky in that department either! Hopefully you get where you want!

Unless someone else is going to pay for it you probably won't be able to afford gas or insurance on a Nissan 350. I'd recommend a Honda because they get the best gas mileage and have the highest resale value. Also, keep in mind that you may be stationed more than four hours from home, maybe in another country. Be careful if the dealer suggests a lease as most won't let you take the car out of the country if you get assigned overseas.

We all have dreams about our most wanted auto! However, these days you have to face the price of fuel. Right now, the government is offering a tax deduction if you buy a hybrid. We are then talking 80 mpg!

I think that is a better way to go rather than converting your engine into something that cats will follow around like used cooking oil.

a 350 z will cost you over $40,000. If you're looking for that type of car get the honda s 2000. If you want good transportation and some room get an Accord.

Get a JEEP Wrangler. You can by a new or used one between 1999 and 2005 and if it is clean you can not tell which on is the 2005 new one.

There is a website called QUADRATECH that sells lots of add ons and you can add tons of custom items on your Jeep.

Also, drive in Beverly Hills and you will see Rolls and Jeeps parked next to each other because rich or poor a JEEP is a JEEP. ( Only Wranglers, CJ-7 types )

Join the Club !! Have Fun !!

Plus you can sell a used Jeep anywhere at any time... people ALWAYS want them !!

JEEP WRANGLER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was going to say get a big truck because they are fun to drive. But not if you're going to travel a lot. Maybe a hybrid car to save gas if you can find one that suits your style. Of course I have always thought that Eclipses are cool too.

If you want the coolest, most fun car ever, make it a MINI. I bought one a year ago, and it's the only car I've ever loved. It's reasonably priced, gas mileage isn't bad, and it never fails to turn heads and give smiles. Check the website for more info:
