Where in the US can you find the most annoying regional dialect, and who has the coolest?

I find New York (I mean ones who were born and raised there) or Boston have the coolest.

The most annoying has to be Minnesota.

Also, in second place, the most annoying has to be Western New York all the way west to Illinois.

Southern Missouri's version of ya'all is you-uns. It sounds really silly. I grew up not far away (a couple hours north) and we never said that but all it takes is a trip down towards the Ozarks and it is a different dialect. Interesting how just a matter of less than 200 miles and speech can be so different.
I loved our neighbor from Maine when we lived in Vermont - she would always say, you can paawrk your cawr over here in my space. I also loved how you take out the rubbish not trash. It was a fun experience living up there and learning a whole new lingo from New England.

I think the most annoying is probably a Southern accent (sorry Boston).

Coolest is hard to say. Maybe a laid back California accent perhaps. Its hard to determine what a cool accent is, it depends a lot upon an individual and how they utilize their own accent.

The most annoying is Southern, although it can be funny at times. I just like a normal California accent.

I love the southern accents, (Georgia, South Carolina) I haven't come across an annoying accent from the US yet.

not cool: Southern states, all, except Florida

hate lousiana accents but love ohio accents ;-) because I live in ohio, there isnt much of an accent
