Is it okay to tell a guy I love you first? Will this scare them off? Me and my boyfriend were talking today and were kind of hinting around that we had feelings for each other. We had only been dating about two weeks. We got to talking about rather or not we loved each other and if he'd be offended if I told him I thought I already loved him. He said not to worry so much about it and rather or not he said it first shouldn't affect the way I truly feel about us and that if I did love him I should just go ahead and come out and say I love you that he wouldn't be upset because he does have feelings for me too. When I wrote him on messenger and we were leaving for the day I wrote "I love you" when I left and he sent me a smiley blowing me kisses. Does this mean anything because he hasn't actually said the words "I love you" but has hinted time and time again that he really does care for me and hates being away from me?

Sighhhhh.... Men. It can also be your first moment of weakness in the relationship. Once you say those three lil words.... there is NOOOO going back.
Once some men know you are hooked, you have just become there doormat. He knows you have strong feelings for him, so it is going to take more to kick you to the curb, and you will put up with alot of crap..... cuz you love him!
You have only known him a short time. Don't expect him to put his emotions on the same platter. Most men hold it in for alot longer before sharing those magic words.
Watch his body language when you say it to him in person. Smiley faces are cute..... but if in 6mo, you still getting them.... without an ILU attached, he is not in the same place you are.
So before you say those magical, powerful words....... I LOVE YOU...
Make sure he is ready to hear them.

Guy's are woosys! I had to start it and it took a little bit till he started saying it back. When he's ready he'll say it too but he's trying to be cute with the smileys.

As a woman, I would never ever tell a guy "I love you" first. Whether it be out of fear of rejection, or scaring him off, it is just a rule I follow. Wait for him to tell you.

If your in love then you are just in love. If you really love your significant other then you should say it. If you really love her then it shouldn't matter. You should both be saying it if the love is true.

someone can care about you a lot without loving you. it may be too soon to say i love you. if i were you i wouldnt say it again. wait till he says it to you. good luck!
