Sometimes the direct approach is best, just ask. But if that seems too bold for your liking, look for the following signs. Pay attention to your conversations with the person in question.
1) Does this person show a special interest in having a conversation with you and, once started, make an effort to keep that conversation going?
2) Has this person taken a sudden interest in your life and hobbies? This is a sure sign that he or she is interested in something.
3) Other elements of body language include frequent eye contact, holding your gaze and looking down before looking away.
4) Does the person you're wondering about just plain smile at you a lot?
Just remember, take each moment like it will be the last. This I feel will be a good start for you in knowing. Good Luck!!!!!!!

Unless he acts that way with everyone, it does sound like he likes you.
Just try doing the same thing he is, smile, make conversation, look at him (don't stare). Also try touching him briefly and see what he does. Touch his arm or leg when you laugh or walk away or something. If he starts touching you back, then you can touch for longer periods of time in different flirty ways. Hugs are also great for that too.
Just make sure to not come on too strong. Just test him out.
Don't underestimate the "smile and look away" method either. Smile at him while looking at him in the eye very breifly, then look away.
Also, if you 2 are pretty close friends, you could just tell him and see what he thinks...

Make the first move, BUT DON'T COME OFF STRONG!
Or it'll creep him out and he'll like...try to avoid you.
Just be like, "Hey, wanna hang out at the movies?" Or ask him if he wants to team up after school and do some homework together. Something simple like that. And if you make a habbit out of this, you'd never know what might form. ;-)

I think you should go for it. Do what your heart tells you to do and do what feels right. But if your one of those girls who want the guy to make the move see if you can get closer to him and maybe let him know in a secretive way that you like him.

Strike up a general conversation so that he will feel more comfortable to make the first move.

ehmagawd! of course he likes you!!! u should definetly make the first move! the best thing to do is be with him alone and start talking and then when there isn't anything left to do just lean in for a kiss. it's simple.

what i always i do is ask around to see if he lyks someone and who it is. but i think u should only ask trust worthy ppl and then sooner or later they will tell u or he would tell u himself cause the ppl u asked will always tell him the truth so maybe u might get lucky and he might tell u that he lyks u back or not.

ASK HIM OUT IF YOU LIKE HIM THAT MUCH. No offense if you are still in 7th grade, but life is too short to play games.

Just wait. If he likes you enough, he'll get up the courage to ask you out.
