Let's do a case study for the New England Journal of Medicine, shall we?
You wear gum wrappers over your teeth, say, 20 hours a day for the next 10 years....if you get mouth cancer, then we know it does cause cancer.
It is unfortunate that we will never be able to save mindless fools everywhere from wearing the wrappers from gum on their teeth too; the mindless will do what they wish, regardless of the answers or advice they are given.

How the heck do you wear gum wrappers on your teeth? I also fail to see how you could get cancer from this. There is nothing carcinogenic in gum wrappers, as far as I'm aware.

actually cancer can occur at any time for any reason the allele responsible for mitosis is damaged in some way causing it to divide uncontrollably. The aluminium in the gum wrapper can damage the dna if it gets into the nuclear envelop but thats highly unlikely
