Depending on the age and circumstances, I think you should just be open and honest. Is there a reason you shouldn't be having sex, i.e., not married, religons, or whatever?

Dont do what my ex did. "You know, I've been wanting to f*ck you." Ask if shes ready, agree on it, and if she does, make sure you get tested and have some comdoms, then she probably wont worry as much.
