I am going to college...and I am buying a house with a mortgage. But I don't qualify for student loans? wtf?
I have been working at the same job for 2 years and I have a good credit history...at least the mortgage company thought so. They offered me a $150,000 mortgage. But why can't I get any student loans without a cosigner?

Please don't tell me to get a FAFSA and/or stafford loans etc. I already signed up for it. I am looking for private student loans that will accept me without a cosigner.

I applied at wells fargo and was denied. They want to give me a loan with my parent cosigning it. But...my parents won't cosign anything, after my brother stopped paying his student loan.

You might want to check around at your local banks, Bank of America, Washington Mutual, etc. You'll need a personal loan from these companies. I think Chase Manhattan is the only one the at offers a student loan. You might want to ask at your schools fin aid office, they might be able to direct you to the appropriate lender.

I'm paying a mortgage and got a stafford loan without a cosigner. I don't understand why you didn't. I got it through my bank, not the school.
