To the best of my knowledge, antivirus programs do not block pop ups in of themselves. If you are using Windows XP with SP2 then you already have a pop up blocker for IE. Other pop up blockers are available in several popular toolbars, such as: Google, Yahoo! and Windows Live. Some of the better Firewall programs also have pop up blocking features, such as Sunbelt Kerio firewall. Google, Yahoo!, Windows Live and the pop up blocker in Windows XP w/ SP2 are equal in their ability to block pop ups
